Broomhall Playgroup has been providing the highest standard of care for Pre-school children for over 30 years now and want to keep providing the same standard of care for years to come. The Playgroup has a great reputation for being educational and offer children the best possible start to thier schooling life.
The Playleaders
We have two Playleaders at the playgroup, Moria Frazer has worked with us for five years and is a committted and reliable member of staff and is the glue that holds the playgroup together. Our newist member of staff is our playleader manager Debbie Ackroyd, Debbie has settled in well and gets on famously with all the children, she has some great and exciting activities planned that the children will just love. Moria and Debbie both have a great partnership and have a great passion for there job and strive to make the childrens time at playgroup great.

If your child is not two yet you can put them on our waiting list and there will be a space available when your child is two.
Please note that the fees are £15 a week and please remember we are non-profit organisation.
All you need to know
We are open during school term times Monday to Friday from 09.15 to 11.45am. The playgroup has a wide range of toys and a arts and crafts area that proves to be most popular with the children. We have rhymtime and storytime everyday. We have planned indoor activities such as baking and soft play area, but we also have planned outdoor activities most recently a nature trail. The children are provided with a healthy snack each day. Children in nappies are also welcome the playleaders are very helpful when children are being toliet trained
The Committee
Our Playgroup is a member of the SPPA (Scottish Pre-school Association) and is run by a voluntary committee of parents whose children are attending the playgroup. The aim of the committee is to maintain the smooth runing of the playgroup. The managements committee takes legal responsibility for the group and makes sure the group is operating within the law and complying with the relevant codes of practice, regulations, guide lines of pre-school services. it helps co-ordinate planned activities for fundrasing and importanat events. Without a committee there is no playgroup.
